I had been working in the child care field for 2 years before I decided to take the plunge and go back to college. A coworker had mentioned the grant program to me while I was at the end of my second semester. I applied and received funding for the current semester I was in as well as the remaining semesters. In fourth semester I was unable to work due to full time placement of 14 weeks. The Grant program provided me with a Training Allowance which helped me out tremendously as I had just bought my first home. I truly appreciate the hard work they do in answering emails promptly and always being able to talk to someone on the other end of the phone. Currently, I am now enrolled in Resource Consulting through Seneca College and am receiving their Leadership Grant to continue to learning and growth in the Early Learning sector.
